Hello,

I had a question about the MCAT. I have been advised to take Biochem and Physics the same year, sounds like suicide, in order to be "ready" for the MCAT if I wanted to take it the following summer after my junior year. I was wondering if I should do Phy/Biochem, Phy/A&P, or Biochem/A&P? The reason why I'm asking is that I heard that there is a lot of A&P on the MCAT instead of the other topics, Biochem having the least content I heard. What has been your experience on the MCAT?...

So i've gotten between a 60%-70% on all 4 EK full length tests i've taken. I've actually done worse on the last two. I'm incredibly frustrated because I know all the material. I'm so upset because I put in so much work, learned all the content, have done thousands of practice questions, and yet my scores are decreasing. Should I just cancel my MCAT? It's in a month. Thanks.

hey guys my test date is 5/20 and i'm in need of some advice based on my scores

aamc sample (63%/57%/66%/80%)-taken on 4/20
NS exam 1 (125/123/126/127)=501
NS 1/2 length (125/127/125/128)=505
NS exam 2 (126/126/126/125)=503
NS exam 3 (126/123/125/128)=502

Q packs: Bio 1 (67%), Chem (66%)
Section bank: B/B (51%)

im aiming for a 508+ on the real deal in 2 weeks and will be taking NS exams 4,5,6 this week and the aamc scored the following week (exam week)

AAMC Section Bank - Percentages

I just finished with all three AAMC section banks and holy ****! They are way more difficult than any other material I've encountered. How concerned should I be with these scores?

P/S: 66% C/P: 63% B/B: 59%

I was utterly surprised at the level of detail in B/B. The passages were fair game but wtf on the discretes... Other AAMC tests have never had that level of factoid minutia. What are others scoring on these things?

So after all my content review I started to do the AAMC Q-pack . My first take for each section was average but as I went back and did couple of more thorough content review my score , understanding and time improved significantly. BUT then last week I bought and did the AAMC section bank and holy crap those graphs almost gave me an aneurysm, The amount of detail to be dissected and interpreted was overwhelming specially because I was timing myself. I am planning to review the section bank...

For instance say I have:
C/P of 128 - (87 percentile) ~ 11 on old scale.
B/BC of 130 - (97 percentile) ~ 12 old scale.
CARS of 123 - (37 percentile) ~ 7 old scale.
P/S of 126 - (67 percentile)
507 - 76 percentile (old scale 73-percentile is a 29 and 79-percentile is 30)

For my dream school:
Physical Sciences 10 Median accepted
Biological Sciences 10 Median accepted
Verbal Reasoning 10 Median accepted - 8 is 10th Percentile of accepted.

I have many things they claim to give special...

So i'm taking the MCAT in June, and i've been studying for about 3 months and feel pretty confident. But every time I take a practice test I lose that confidence big time. I've taken 4 Examkrackers tests and have scored between 35-40 on the CARS section each time. What's frustrating is that I took the old MCAT a year ago, and scored 13, not to mention all my previous tests last year I got 12-13 continuously. I took the old mcat prep with Princeton Review, so idk what difference that makes....

EK 1001 and other practice books?

Howdy folks,

I'm starting to get into the stage of doing countless practice questions for the MCAT. Since physics and chemistry (and organic chem?) are more or less the same from the old MCAT, I plan on using the EK 1001 books to practice. When it comes to Bio, however, I know that in the past people said the EK 1001 questions book wasn't an adequate source of practice because it didn't reflect the actual bio questions on the MCAT. Is there some other book with numerous practice questions...

I am curious because I have been looking for the 2011 Hyperlearning workbook for the longest time and a few days ago, I saw a workbook from my friend taking the course. I am considering enrolling in one of those courses to get my hands on the workbook. Again, I am not talking about the 7-book box set. I'm talking about the workbook that comes with the TPR course. Hey Guys,

I just finished the last year of my undergrad (BSc) and I'm hoping to write the MCAT for the first time this summer. I'm planning on writing my exam on August 25th, 2016. This gives me about ~3.5 months to prep for the MCAT.

Hello all,

I am already 2 weeks into studying for the MCAT using the old TPR bundle (2010 --I know its old but my friend gave it to me for free) :). Anyways, since EK 10th edition will be coming out in a few week, I plan on ordering it and redo my content review etc.. I am also planning to buy AAMC official MCAT bundle which will cost me about ~$194. All in all, EK 10th will cost me about $274.94 + AAMC = ~$469

Here's the problem, I don't have a clue on how to tackle the FL. I am more of a...

Hey guys, my exam is a week away and I have been focusing on studying more of my weaker areas and areas which hold a strong exam weight (chemistry, physics). I am looking over organic chemistry and was wondering what the most commonly tested things are? I took the MCAT in May and it only had 8 Ochem questions total on it, as i'm sure the test is starting to phase them out. That's why I don't want to spend a huge amount of time going over it.

I am scheduled to take the MCAT this weekend. I have already rescheduled it once, and I would like to reschedule it again but it is too late to cancel it or reschedule it.

I am wondering, does the first time I rescheduled it count as an "attempt"? I am worried about this because I do not want to exceed the three times I am allowed to schedule the test a year. I have rescheduled it once, will be a no show to the one this weekend and will need to schedule it one more time in September when...

So I've seen on the 509+ a lot of people using Kaplan and TPR for their amazing scores, and I've hardly seen anyone with Sn2ed's plan or McatJelly's plan. Are there any reports on which one is better suited for the new MCAT? I don't see a lot of people using TBR for the new MCAT. Thanks!

I have been working on CARS passages but I am not seeing any improvement and I have a long ways to go, I am trying to get a 126.
What I am struggling with the most is not comprehending what I am reading, because I am so confused by these words. I need to improve my reading skills, but I am not sure how. I have almost completed ALL of Kaplan's practices stuff and I need more passages or some more reading material that is similar. I have tried reading scientific american but that does not...
